Scott Shilling has had a long and successful career in Information Technology. Initially, Scott was trained in the technical side of the IT industry,  while also learning the management and leadership skills required for this intense field from EDS. Scott then spent 16 years with Perot Systems: honing his craft, moving from Technical Team Leader to Project Manager to Account Manager, even Sales. While at Perot Systems, Scott pioneered much of the offshore development best practices for Perot Systems which have been widely adopted across the industry. After Perot Systems, he took an ownership position in E5systems, which was subsequently purchased by Lionbridge.

Since 2014, Scott has teamed up with his son and co-founder, Brad to create what has become mTusker. 32 years of experience is now zoned in on the development of the mTusker platform- Scott considers mTusker his best career achievement.

When not traveling, which he does extensively in support of mTusker, Scott enjoys sailing and scuba diving and is an avid sports fan.

Jack of all trades, master of none: Erin is a veracious learner who reads over 50 books a year- with at least half being academic texts or histories. Erin started her career as an engineer and quickly moved into management, focused on lean manufacturing and supply chain practices and later in complex financial modeling and analysis. Erin has lead hundreds of employees within the Fortune 50, and has launched and sold her own startup. Erin loves a good challenge and loves working at mTusker, who’s growth and potential means a new fun challenge every day!

Erin is the mother of two amazing kids and wife to an honest-to-goodness Ironman rocket scientist- all three of whom help to keep her humble, and forever grateful.

Erin holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Virginia Tech, a MS in Industrial Engineering from GA Tech, and an MBA from the University of Michigan. She’s well positioned in Football fandom.

mTusker base quick start guide

All new accounts need to spend some time personalizing individual users and security. The administrative section of the website provides access to:

  • Manage your company profile (address, billing information, selected Modules, etc)
  • Group Security Settings
  • Widget Security
  • Table Maintenance (define drop-down values for entire site)
  • Stage Table (define the various stages of your sales cycle)
  • User Defined Fields (define fields for the collection of customer-specific information)
  • Company News List (create customer announcement messages to display on the home page)
  • Below is sequence of tasks that should be followed when setting up for the first time.

Step one

create the empty SaaS account, by clicking the "Sign-up" button at the top of the screen. By default the Account Owner will have full admin rights.

Step two

  • Go to Manage Company Profile.
  • Select the set of products you wish to have.

Step three

  • Create security Groups for each purchased product!
  • Administrative rights can be assigned to additional users by using the "Admin".
  • CRM is for CRM features only - there are no admin features in the product.

Step four

  • Add your users.
  • If the person is a manager and has people in the user group that report to them make sure to check the management box.

Step five

  • Assign the users the modules you wish to have them access - once you give it to them and confirm mTusker will charge them for this - you cannot remove it so be careful.
  • Based on the products you can now give that person appropriate security groups.

Step six

  • Set up Widget security.
  • Go to Widget Security and set up widget security group.
  • Assign widget groups to users.
